About the Opportunity
Our Clandeboye site is one of Fonterra's largest sites, employing over 1000 people.

It is also home to one of the biggest dryers in the world, capable of producing 26 metric tonnes of whole milk powder every hour.

During peak season our Clandeboye site produces up to 13 million litres of milk every day.
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join the Clandeboye Cheese team.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role comes with variety and broad exposure within different areas of our manufacturing site.

You will work alongside and support our team, including management, auditors and factory staff, to ensure that we consistently deliver for our customers.

Your sound understanding of managing compliance from a food safety or manufacturing background will see you being able to confidently coordinate all relevant compliance requirements.

This role provides technical & administrative support to the Clandeboye Leadership team to assist them to deliver business performance excellence.


You'll also be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and controlling key departmental documentation in line with standards such as SOPs, HACCP documents
  • Supporting leaders in implementing core compliance training requirements across the department
  • Providing KPI reporting, analysis and tracking support across the BMS
  • Supporting internal and external Plant audits
  • Participating in Health & Safety and Quality improvement processes and projects
  • Providing communication support between the Plant and Process Managers and a variety of stakeholders
  • Coordinating departmental meetings, functions and events.

As a team player and the go-to person, you will have an extremely high level of attention to detail while working systematically and using your initiative to achieve our goals.


Other key skills and experience include:

  • Relevant experience in an Administration or Coordination role with a production background
  • Experienced in reporting, quality, and safety database systems
  • Strong communication & organisational skills
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP
  • The drive to make things happen and identify and lead system improvements.
