We have a great opportunity for an experienced Contract Relationship Manager to join our Contract and Supplier Relationship Unit.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of military and civilian personnel and a mix of internal and external stakeholders to both establish and ensure delivery of a portfolio of contracts, with the ultimate aim of supporting military maritime outputs.

You will be responsible for the management of contracts and development of strategies for the optimal management of individual contractual relationships, to achieve the best outcome for all involved.

Supporting the creation of service specifications (e.g.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) and ensuring that supplier performance is tracked, monitored and reviewed regularly is key to the success of this position.

We need a new team member who is passionate, knowledgeable yet willing to learn, and can demonstrate a high level of experience in supplier relationship management, contract management, procurement, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.

You will enjoy and excel at delivering exceptional results, putting the needs of the stakeholders at the centre of everything whilst aligning the deliverables to NZDF's strategic and operational objectives.

Having a high standard of verbal and written communication skills will ensure you are able to navigate and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to successfully contribute to RNZN outcomes.

You are agile, innovative, excited by challenges, decisive and have strong values, ethics and integrity. You have experience in critical and strategic thinking, dealing well with pressure and complex environments.
You have a sound understanding and experience of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle process and ideally Government Procurement Rules.

In addition, you will bring knowledge and experience in managing contracts with a scope of technical deliverables and/or Government agency complexities.

The Contract and Supplier Relationship Unit is located at Devonport Naval Base under the Defence Logistics Command (Maritime).

The unit is responsible for strategically planning and managing collaborative relationships with key industry partners to deliver long-term, sustainable value for money outcomes for the RNZN.

Our unit also provides commercial support, advice and representation of RNZN's interest in pan NZDF contracts.
