The company and opportunity:
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation, that provides health and social services to the wider Counties Manukau area. They're growing faster than they can keep up with, with now 250 employees and counting. Because of this huge growth, they need two permanent, full-time Health Workers to join the team.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday and is based at our Mangere location.

The key to this position is your passion to work with children aged years and their whanau within a school-based setting and in the community.

You will provide health care services, education, and support to schools in Mangere.

You will be joining a fantastic team, who share the same common passion for their community. Your team will feel like family. If you have a knowledge of Maori customs and ideologies and have a Health/Community background then we would like to hear from you

As a Health Worker, some of your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Working alongside a Registered Nurse to ensure whanau are well-informed, engaged, and supported in the program
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion in dealing with a diverse community
  • Being able to provide quality care to our patients

To be successful in this role:

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective communication written and verbal
  • If can speak Te Reo Māori this would be an advantage
