**The company and opportunity**:
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation, that provides health and social services to the wider Counties Manukau area.
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, and is based at our Mangere location. The key to this position is your passion for working with children aged 5 - 18 years and their whanau within a school-based setting and in the community. You will provide health care services, education, and support to schools in Mangere.
You will be joining a fantastic team, who share the same common passion for their community. Your team will feel like family. If you have a knowledge of Maori customs and ideologies and have a Health/Community background then we would like to hear from you
**As a Health Worker, some of your key areas of responsibility will include**:
- Working alongside a Registered Nurse to ensure whanau are well-informed, engaged, and supported in the program
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion in dealing with a diverse community
- Being able to provide quality care to our patients
**To be successful in this role**:
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective communication written and verbal
- If can speak Te Reo Māori this would be an advantage
- Must have a full driver's licence as you will need to drive to the schools
