As our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you'll do everything you can to make our workplace safer every day.

From an organizational perspective, you lead the improvement of our health and safety systems and increase awareness for health, safety and wellbeing at manager level.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Be our business' Health, Safety and Wellbeing champion, reporting to the CEO
  • Business partner with our Regional and Project Managers, promoting an environment where safety and productivity go hand in hand all day
  • Lead the Group and Regional Health and Safety committees
  • Proactively manage Health and Safety performance
  • Oversee subcontractor management
  • Work with the fieldbased teams to lift their understanding of proactive safety management through improved risk management
  • Conduct site visits to support teams and undertaking site audits
  • Reactively manage injuries and return to work programmes in liaison with the employee and ACC
  • Lead ISO 45001 accreditation
  • Own the building WOF management, monthly reporting

Desired Skills and Experience:

To be successful in our role, you have

  • An engaging personality: you're a team player and a great communicator
  • A tertiary qualification in Health & Safety management
  • Min. 3 years' work experience in Health & Safety
  • A First Aid certification
  • An excellent understanding of the NZ Health & Safety Act 2015 as well as exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4500
  • Experience in a highrisk environment advantageous
  • Physical fitness, you walk the talk and promote personal wellbeing
