Southern Cross Hamilton is a private short-stay surgical hospital based in Hamilton East that is committed to providing restaurant quality meals and catering for special dietary requirements on request.

To make this happen, we need a kitchen hand who is passionate about excellent service to support our chefs in the kitchen.


What you'll do:
- ensure the kitchen is safe and hazard free by doing dishes, removing rubbish, and cleaning.
- compile meal trays, deliver to rooms, and clear at end of service.
- assist with basic food preparation.
- top up supplies and generally help to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- cleaning up and closing the kitchen at the end of shift.

- show attention to detail.

- be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.

- friendly and engaging and know what it means to deliver outstanding customer service.
- comfortable to work unsupervised as the last part of the shift will be after the chef has left for the day.
