Duties for this role will include:

  • Identifying, analysing and assessing intelligence or security threats;
  • Delivering briefs and exemplary intelligence reports to senior management, customers and stakeholders;
  • Ensuring the provision of highquality intelligence information to support well informed decision making by NZDF Leadership / Command;
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Key skills and experiences you will bring to this role include:

  • 3+ years' experience in delivering assessments and analysis, ideally within an operational security or intelligence environment within government;
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal;
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills in building and maintaining strong partnerships
  • The proven ability to mentor, coach and develop others, as well as an ability to work collaboratively;
  • Exceptional time management skills to prioritise a large workflow, while also remaining agile for changing requirements; and
  • A proactive mindset, open to ideas and suggestions, and not afraid to ask for help.

  • You must have been an NZ Citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for 10 years.
