Dunedin Botanic Garden Plant Collection Curator (12 months fixed-term)


An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Dunedin Botanic Garden to join a team of a professional horticulturists in a role that presents the Botanic Garden as a credible and valuable community asset.


This is a full-time fixed term position of 37.5 hrs per week responsible for the maintenance and curation of the New Zealand Plant Collection.


This position has a high level of interaction with visitors and colleagues and is responsible for the curation of a treasured collection of plants and the training and supervision of apprentices and volunteers.


To be successful we are looking for someone with proven practical horticultural experience with a strong affiliation towards the cultivation of New Zealand native plants, has great interpersonal skills, a passion and experience in vocational training and a sound knowledge of managing plant collections.
