About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent **Consultant Urologist** ( 1.0 FTE) to join our experienced team at the **Otago Urology Service**, based in Dunedin Public Hospital. Our service offers a range of inpatient, outpatient, and community services to patients in the Otago catchment area. You will also have the chance to conduct clinics and perform simple surgeries in other Otago centers like Queenstown, Alexandra, and Oamaru.

Working closely with our urologists, a senior trainee, two junior doctors, and a skilled team of specialist urology nurses, you will provide 1:4 on-call coverage. The urology service at Dunedin Hospital benefits from 24-hour interventional radiology support, full ICU and HDU facilities, and close collaboration with our oncology and nephrology departments.

The role will have a clinical focus on urology oncology, endourology, laparoscopic procedures, and management of BPE and LUTS.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing high-quality patient-centered care
- Sharing responsibility for day-to-day service management and strategic planning
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary team
- Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities
- Engagement in continuing medical education

Salary Range: This role falls within the ASMS Collective Agreement, with a salary range between Step 1 ($170,369) and Step 15 ($250,560 per annum pro rata), depending on prior experience and additional allowances.
