We have an opportunity for a Senior Workforce Analyst to join us in a permanent full-time capacity in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

In this role, you'll be supporting the reporting and insights that enable decision-making and planning across the KiwiRail People and Culture group and wider business.


What you'll do


As our Senior Workforce Analyst, you'll be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of regular and ad-hoc reporting and insights.

These reports support our people related decision-making and planning through BI tools and other people/reporting systems.

Additionally, you will:

  • Coach and support the People & Culture team and key stakeholders in using best practice in reporting/insights.
  • Champion collaboration with other SMEs across the wider business to ensure we are consistent and efficient with our reporting and insights practices.
  • Proactively work in close partnership with the wider People & Culture functional teams to ensure the provision of a flexible, comprehensive, and valueadding assistance.

What you'll need

  • Previous experience in collecting information from the business, sense checking it with data, and being able to provide reports and insights to support senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, visualisation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with BI systems with solid maths and statistical analysis.
  • Skilled with MS Excel and Power BI.
