About our role Our Auckland team have a Commercial Finance Business Partner role supporting the Simplot New Zealand business.
You will provide support and back-up to the Commercial Finance Manager – Emerging Channels.With a key focus on implementing best in class pricing analysis, coupled with recommendations and value-add commercial insights, you will improve the quality of decision making in revenue management and reporting, and contribute to shaping strategy creation and delivery and contribute to Executive Reporting.
Working in partnership with the wider team in Simplot NZ, you'll support and advise on strategic and operational decision-making to improve business performance and drive value generation.
Leaning into your expertise in Blueshift or a similar TPM system, you will bring practical integrated commercial financial planning knowledge, enabling the business to make informed decisions tactically and operationally from large data sets, and ultimately driving profitability and improving our customer relationships.
What you will do Revenue management: Maintain accuracy of revenue management reports and dashboards (BI, Blueshift TPM and Excel) Automate maintenance of Revenue Management Tool Kit to save time and increase immediacy of data Develop reporting, insights and recommendations on the optimal mix of trade spend to achieve the appropriate margin pool for Simplot and its Customers Leverage a combination of business information sources (eg.
scan, panel, shopper intelligence, catalogue, display support etc) and external market indicators to create a revenue management "toolkit".Business Partnering:
Support the retail sales team through customer negotiations Development of tracking of customer P&L's Lead the governance process of pricing plans Provide support and recommendations for promotional mechanics optimisation.
Develop robust financial modelling to support the delivery of commercial value Provide analyses, evaluations and implications of key learnings that will be applied in the development of future best practices.
Budgeting & forecasting:
Support the overall Commercial budgeting and monthly forecasting processes (S&OP) for the channel though Revenue Management initiatives.
About you You will demonstrate solid commercial budgeting experience completing planning, forecasting and dashboard reporting (BI, Blueshift TPM and Excel).
You will be proactive in identifying insights from large data sets and seek opportunities to improve commercial (sales) and operational performance outcomes.
Whilst commercial FMCG experience is preferred, your ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, collaborate deeply and broadly, coupled with your commitment to self development will set you apart in the field.
