Business Analyst

Oji Fibre Solutions ( OjiFS ) is the largest integrated pulp, p aper, and fibre-based packaging manufacturer in New Zealand . Our logistics arm Lodestar manage the distribution of one of the largest portfolios of freight , both domestically as well as export operations , via a diverse and complex logistics landscape . We also rate as one of the top 20 organisations to work for in New Zealand and have a proud history of powering the circular bioeconomy.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Lodestar team at our Great South Road offices in Eller s l i e, Auckland on a fixed term basis for 9 months, supporting a project roll out . Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Logistics Manag e ment System l andscape as well as maintaining our Business Intelligence offering to relevant stakeholders . This is also an opportunity for you to add your own flair to our dynamic , experienced , and high performing team.

Your responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Logistics Management System landscape.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and creating Business Intelligence report offering .
  • Contribute significantly towards defining and implementing system changes .
  • Contribute to drive operational efficiencies .
  • Participate in project planning and provide recommendations for approach.
  • Be an advocate for effecting organisational culture to apply analytics in decision making .

You will bring to the role

  • You will be a self-starter, have a strong strength of initiative.
  • Be an excellent communicator and not be afraid to questio n and clarify .
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with system as well as operational stakeholders to deliver solutions .
  • Proven experience for identification, analysis, and development of clear and concise requirements to meet business needs.
  • Proven e xperience with ICT development lifecycle (principles and practices) . Including experience testing and managing test ing administration .
  • Proven experience interrogating databases to discover, troubleshoot and verify root causes.
  • Proven experience with both enterprise as well as tactical IT solutions and providers .
  • Proven experience of proactive vendor and stakeholder management.
  • At least 5 years ' system Business Analyst experience , and preferably experienc e with business process design and redesign to create operational ly considered outcomes.
  • Experience with cloud middleware an advantage .

As a pragmatic and analytical thinker, you will have a thirst to investigate and resolve system issues and challenges. Using your creative mindset, you will be able to think about the bigger picture and identify where value can be added. Experience in shipping, transport, supply chain and/or logistics industries would be advantage .
