Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

You'll join our fun, tight-knit Customer Engagement team as we embark on our journey to reshape the way we connect with our partners, stakeholders and customers, and deliver enabling services to the organisation.

Your portfolio, Outreach and Insights, has four high-performing and talented direct reports, who can't wait for their leader to join the team.

This is a senior role, so you really need to know your trade.

You will own the brand and identity for Toitū Te Whenua, ensuring we are information enabled, and evidence-led in our decision making, feeding critical customer insights into the business that help inform service design and the experiences customers have in working with us.

You'll be a seasoned marketer, understanding the full range of channels available to us, and use research to ensure we are connecting with our customers in they way they want us to, upholding Toitū Te Whenua's reputation for delivering exceptional services and having genuine impact in our communities.

We are going through an exciting period of change across Toitū Te Whenua, with so much opportunity and support for you to bring your creativity and carve your path that sees us achieve our strategic intentions.

Your team will not only be the customer insights engine for our group, but across Toitū Te Whenua.
This role could be based in Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience

  • You will have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in a similar level leader role with proven ability to lead people through change
  • Preferably you will have experience working in government or a notforprofit
  • Experience building capability across an organisation
  • Proven experience in managing delivery and execution of marketing initiatives to inform/support business enhancements
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery, including management of Iwi, stakeholder and client relationships
  • Thorough understanding of humancentred design and userexperience methodologies
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
The expected appointing range for this role is $140,000 to $175,000 based on skills and experience.
