Mō te tūnga | About the roleA skilled change management expert, the DCE Transformation will have an eye for detail like no other, able to see unspoken connections between change initiatives.
You will have a well-tuned risk management radar and the ability to coordinate, prioritise and sequence the big picture of change.
You will lead through this intensive period of change by influencing, collaborating and working collectively with Te Riu (Executive Leadership team) and Senior leaders across the Agency.
The DCE Transformation will support the Tumu Whakarae | Chief Executive and Leadership Team to steer Oranga Tamariki through a significant change process.
This change will see the organisation move to a locally-led, centrally-enabled approach to services for tamariki and whānau.As the single point of co-ordination for the change programme of work, you will be tasked with identifying accountabilities, responsibilities, required resources and timescales, as well as deliverables.
Alongside this you will be tasked with delivering specific cross-cutting pieces of change work specifically commissioned by the Chief Executive.
You will have managed large-scale public sector change programmes and have experience in delivering results through others especially through your relationship development and influencing skills.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringKey requirements of the role include:
- Proven change agent with experience in leading and implementing large scale change and engagement across an organisation
- Sound understanding and experience working at a senior level within the NZ public sector
- Ability to successfully lead the development of a large scale work programme whilst ensuring alignment with organisational and other groups' strategies and plans
- Track record of navigating through complex political situations effectively and efficiently
- Experience in connecting and leading engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including employees, Treaty partners, Māori communities and the Crown in a way that has preserved, developed and maintained effective relationships
- Proven success in driving positive and meaningful change outcomes for an organisation
- Understanding and appreciation of crosscultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
