The People Systems Analyst is a member of a small collaborative system admin team responsible for maintaining the on-going reliability, performance, and support of the Ministry's people systems and environments including SuccessFactors and others.

The People Systems Analyst is responsible for providing essential first line support assisting the business with systems, login and data issues, testing, system monitoring, maintenance and supporting admins in change management activities. You also develop your system admin capability.

  • Collaborate closely within the team on environment planning and system change activities across all environments to ensure business as usual system stability.
  • Act as a key interface with business representatives to represent requirements and engage on appropriate solutions.
  • Perform system and data maintenance activities to support the successful function of our modules.
  • Review, develop and execute test scripts to perform functional and/or regression tests as part of upgrade/release and change processes.
  • Work to ensure systems are operating to support the relevant functions in the areas of audit, controls and compliance.

The midpoint for this role is $89,839 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. We expect to appoint around this based on the level of experience.

We'd like to hear from you if you are an experienced analyst with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting HR led processes e.g. recruitment, onboarding, rem rounds, employee life cycle activities.
  • Experience in technical systems support and supporting business customers with systems elements and service.
  • Experience with systems testing, analysis and troubleshooting systems issues.

Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.
