You will be joining an experienced team of technologists, committed to supporting and mentoring each other, delivering value to Health New Zealand and enjoying ourselves along the way.

The team are involved with a variety of new exciting Cloud projects and maintenance work.

We operate the Cloud platform to a high standard and expect all the team to participate in the ongoing upkeep.


Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
As one of our Senior Cloud Engineers, you will enjoy a variety of project and maintenance work, and be able to:

  • Provide technical advice to our clients who are the Northern region's hospitals
  • Consult with a variety of clients, across multiple domains and situations
  • Strive for continuous improvement in how we engage with, support and manage our clients
  • Deliver solutions by helping internal and customer teams as well as handson delivery work
  • Form and grow longterm trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Share your knowledge and expertise with the wider business
  • Participate internally within Health New Zealand, be mentored and contribute to the ongoing development of services we provide

Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako - Skills & Experience

  • Growth mindset with a desire to obtain Microsoft or AWS certifications, if not already achieved
  • Empathy this is crucial to your success in understanding our client's needs
  • Breadth and depth of handson infrastructure experience, covering Security, Networking, Operations, Agile, DevOps practices and Operating Systems modernised to cloudbased technologies
  • Superb communication skills, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge through coaching, mentoring and training
