Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.

As the Contracts Liaison Coordinator, you will contribute to the end-to-end coordination of high-quality contractual arrangements across your region. In the national team, you will also support the management and oversight of Section 94 Disability Support Service Agreements that have remained within Te Whatu Ora.

This role is based in the Central Region, which is made up of Mid-Central, Whanganui, Capital & Coast Hutt Valley (Wellington Region), Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. You will need to be based in the region with the ability to travel around the region as needed. Your location can be discussed at interview stage

  • Previous experience working in an administrative environment where legislative considerations determine processes.
  • Understanding and experience working with databases/registers.
  • Understanding and experience working with contracts.
  • Ideally experience of the health sector contracts and service requirements.
  • Experience working in and with self-directed teams.
