The position of Librarian is to provide library services through the Hillmorton Specialist Mental Health Services Hospital library to all Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury staff and students working with the Mental Health Service.
The role will involve:
- Liaising with the Christchurch Branch of the University of Otago Library on matters pertaining to the Hillmorton SMHS library
- Providing information technology services to SMSHS staff and students
- Maintaining the electronic and hardcopy resources of the SMHS library
- Liaising with the
Nurse Consultant:
Workforce Development about library materials, the physical library space and library data
- Maintaining the Psychometric Test Library for SMHS
- Participating in Te Whatu Ora Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury and Divisional; quality standards and procedures

- Accurate data entry and computer skills
- Understanding of, and the ability to adhere to relevant NZ legislation and standards e.g., Copyright Act, Medical Council Standards
