Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role

The purpose of the Financial Analyst role within the Te Pou Rangatōpū group is to work as part of the Capital Team and undertake monthly Capital Expenditure analysis, process improvement, and interact with the PMO to improve the timeliness and quality information and reporting to the Property Delivery Team and the Te Pou Rangatōpū Leadership Team.

Mōhou ake | About you
You will have a Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar business discipline and experience in an asset/capital intensive organisation, ideally in the construction industry

You will also offer:

  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Relevant experience in a project accounting or similar role
  • Experience of working with multiple data sources and systems to compile and generate management reports.
  • The ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles / can get messages across with the desired effect.


You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.

You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023.
