Enthusiastic veterinarian with a keen interest in small animal medicine

We are a dynamic and busy private practice in Auckland and are after a sixth veterinarian to join our experienced team. We aren't after a rockstar (we have a few of those already) but you must be able to bake (just kidding). Sadly, we are losing one of our junior veterinarians to overseas adventures and we are after a special person to fill the gap.

Our veterinary nursing team is highly dedicated and are all diploma qualified and get to practice their full range of skills. We have four dedicated receptionists. The clinic has all the mod cons from endoscopy to dental x-ray. 1:5 Saturday morning; hours are negotiable 4–5-day weeks.

This would suit a veterinarian keen on medicine, although we can offer some surgery, as we already have a team of excellent surgeons. We perform a wide range of "not so usual" surgeries and work with one of the biggest cat rescues in Auckland. Our biggest bonus is all staff are offered the opportunity to attend our charity clinics on Niue island without using annual leave. We have our own charity The Rock Vets Trust that covers all expenses (though we appreciate assistance in our fundraising ventures).

We are a busy clinic (though quieter through winter) and offer half hour appointments for non-routines. Consulting veterinarians have two hours of blocked time daily for breaks and follow-ups. We cover APC and utilise VIN as well as being UVG members.

Veterinarians must time manage efficiently and be keen to work, be busy, learn heaps and get involved in the team dynamic. We strive for a zero-toxicity environment and have a hands-on highly experienced team leader and practice manager to ensure the day runs smoothly and everyone gets breaks

We are not after KPIs or super stars, just a veterinarian that wants to work, puts a smile on their face every day Our clients are good demographic and love getting to know our veterinarians and form trusting relationships. Happy staff makes happy clients. Our team love having fun, being busy and enjoy challenging cases and pie Friday. We have many long-standing staff members, some over twenty years at the clinic
