Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have part time positions available up to 0.9FTE.

We are seeking experienced nurses who have a passion and desire to work with multiple specialities and willing to change with the ward environment and adapt to the current flow of the hospital.

We are an 18-bedded ward with a supportive environment, an educator and an experienced team to assist with your orientation and development.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Ward E8 at Waikato hospital cares for patients from most specialties often both pre and post operation or procedure.

Being adaptable is essential as this ward often changes to meet the presenting needs of the Hospital - we are currently a mix model who caters for both medical and surgical patients.


Mōu | About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least 2 years previous experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Team player who is flexible with a positive attitude
  • The ability to effectively coordinate your own workload and adjust to changing priorities
