Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand Full time

Permanent- Salaried Full Time- Christchurch, NZ, 8544Working at our organisation you'll have the opportunity to contribute to safe and secure skies, for New Zealand.

Tēnei tūranga About the Role

Following the last few years of disruption to the aviation industry, normal travel around New Zealand and overseas has resumed, and once again the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is at the forefront of ensuring safe and secure skies for New Zealand.

Our team of recruiters has been busy attracting and appointing a range of staff from frontline airport staff to senior leaders.

We play a vital role in making sure the people we recruit maintain the high levels of competence, integrity and professionalism that defines CAA.

To enable the recruitment function to be deliver our service, collaborate, and remain responsive, we are creating three Recruitment Hubs across our main centres - Auckland, Wellington, and Central/South Island.

You will work in the Central/South Island Recruitment Hub on a variety of roles including both bulk intakes and more niche roles.

There will be opportunities for you to travel to our South Island locations and experience our on-the-ground operations. The role can be based in Christchurch or Queenstown.

As a Recruitment Advisor you will work closely with our hiring managers supporting them through the recruitment life cycle. You will have access to several fantastic systems including SuccessFactors, XRef, and various assessment tools.

There is huge variety in the role as we support the six main airports and have offices in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.

You'll get great support, not only from our manager Claudia, but also your Coordinator and wider Recruitment team.

The structure of the Hub will mean that, over time, there will be opportunities to progress within the team and expand on your recruitment knowledge with learning opportunities,.

We are growing as a team, both in size and capability, so you will be joining us at an ideal time.

Ko tāu e kawe mai ai | What You'll Bring

We work in an environment where agility is key, so you will need a can-do attitude and the smarts to pick up a piece of work and run with it.

Recruitment and talent-sourcing experience is a must, preferably from an in-house role.

You will have excellent planning skills, be able to anticipate potential risks and ensure the recruitment process remains at the highest standard.

We are largely an operational organisation, so you will need to be able to work under pressure and have the ability to flex as demands change.

As a safety regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority exists to enable safe flight for social connections, and economic benefit for New Zealand.

We believe in keeping people safe and secure in the air, enabling participation in the aviation system, and making a difference to New Zealand aviation.

We achieve this through regulatory oversight of the aviation industry and frontline security at our airports.

The foundation for achieving this is _our values_, which guide how we work and the behaviours we expect from each other.

CAA strongly encourages and supports all our people to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. However our current policy position is that vaccination is not a requirement for employment in this role. Please note that CAA may, if needed, introduce a vaccination requirement for managing an epidemic.
