The opportunity


The Arts, Community and Events (ACE) department contributes to the wellbeing and vibrancy of Auckland, endeavouring to ensure that all Aucklanders are actively engaged and participating in community life.

Our vision is to enable connected, creative communities.


One facility that is associated with the Arts, Community, and Events department is Te Oro Glen Innes Music and Arts Centre.

This exciting community youth space includes features such as a dance studio, music tuition, performance/rehearsal spaces, art workshops and classrooms.

The facility has a huge potential to make a difference to Glen Innes and the surrounding community by increasing access to state of the art facilities for local youth.


About you


We are looking for a Facility Technical Custodian who will ensure this facility is well maintained As a Facility Technical Custodian, you will be responsible for opening, preparing and closing the different areas of the venue.

Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times you will be required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness of the venue spaces as well as associated equipment.


The successful applicant will have a strong background in customer service and possess technical knowledge of sets up and is able to operate for PA and lighting systems for theatre and music events.

Previous custodial work or facilities management would be advantageous partnered and an understanding a customer focused approach is extremely important.

This is a casual position working when needed between
:9am to 10pm. (minimum 3 hours, flexibility to work and earlier or later shift.
