We are seeking a Kaipūhanga Horopū Whakawhirinaki Site Reliability Engineer to join the Z whānau, be part of a fun, diverse and supportive squad and build your career while learning from the best and working on varied and interesting topics.

This is an Intermediate level role in our team, it's a great chance to bring the knowledge you have and also learn and grow in a busy commercial environment.


This role can be based in either Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland or Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Support internal and external customers on a variation of systems and platforms
  • Contribute to frameworks, standards and patterns for SRE's and our DevOps capability
  • Solve problems and implement sustainable solutions
  • Maintain and expand our CI/CD pipeline through automation and scripting
  • Ensure alignment with our security standards

Qualifications:

What you'll bring to Z

  • Experience in technology. You might already be in a technical role with a desire to move in a different direction or you might currently work in a service desk or Business Analyst role and want something more technically focused. If this sparks your interest and there are skills that match let's chat
  • Exposure to maintaining and delivering solutions for customers with a focus on automating processes and improvement
  • A love for databases and an understanding of how SQL/Cosmos Db's operate
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server would be beneficial
  • Exposure to cloud environments, we use Azure
  • Great communication skills and a love of solving problems
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn

The base salary range for this role is $76,500 to $90,000 per annum, plus 10% bonus based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
