What will you do?
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our Christchurch based team.

In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders from our Property Projects, Warehouse, Village/Operations and office-based Health and Safety teams to ensure we deliver on our commitment of doing it safely or not at all.

Utilizing your knowledge and experience to help raise the standard of health and safety through a supportive coaching appraoch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the major Property Projects and Warehouse teams to influence a positive safety culture
  • Assisting with contractor management through all stages of the process from onboarding to monitoring contractor performance against their processes and procedures
  • Completing regular site visits to oversee, inspect and monitor compliance with Ryman's health and safety expectations
  • Supporting the Property Projects and Warehouse teams in dealing with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitoring that incident are reported, and where applicable assisting with or conducting investigations and sharing learnings
  • Provide ongoing training, support and guidance on the use of Ryman's systems, processes and procedures

Who are you?

  • You have an extensive background supporting Health and Safety in complex organisations in the New Zealand, and a passion for promoting a positive culture
  • You have some experience with contract and commercial law
  • You are comfortable working on your own or as part of a team
