We are looking for a Quality, Health and Safety (QHS) Manager to enhance and embed our health and safety performance and critical risk awareness and capability.

You will actively support your team and enable our leaders to continuously drive a committed and focused H&S culture.

Your ability to get alongside your team and our people is critical as you provide leadership and guidance while offering supportive advice, delivery and strategic direction.

The role

  • Create, lead and role model clear committed behaviours while driving a continuous improvement culture and focused vision
  • Lead and foster a positive and customer focused team environment where people can openly learn, develop, lead and achieve
  • Improve the Orion Network quality, health and safety strategies, policies and procedures and develop an effective critical risk program
  • Provide guidance, advice, support and expertise to the wider business ensuring awareness of our responsibilities under the H&S At Work Act and relevant legislation
  • Ensure our safety management systems, practices and audit data is robust and fit for purpose
  • Review and monitor quality audits and investigations including H&S legislation updates and changes are communicated

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a high risk, complex and technical environment sector knowledge will be an advantage but not essential
  • Proven experience and ability to lead, develop, influence and motivate a team of H&S professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations, safety legislations and H&S At Work Act (2015)
  • Experience in leading, executing and monitoring internal and external audits
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions with a collaborative approach to decision making and best practice requirements
  • Ability to communicate, engage and influence at a high level across a wide range of stakeholders
