Canterbury
Health Laboratories is the largest medical laboratory in the South Island which
is also a major secondary/tertiary referral centre. We have a modern and
well-equipped lab including a good range of specialist equipment. Our
laboratory is open 24 hours a day, providing timely results to our clinicians
to ensure our patients are getting the right treatment, at the right time.
We - re
our Microbiology Department within our Bacteriology Lab. You will work within a
team of experienced laboratory professionals, managing a varied and challenging
case load.
This
week 0800 to 1700.

  • Applicants must also be available for weekend, oncall and
Public Holiday rosters as required.

  • In

this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing
diagnostic and specialist bacteriology testing

  • Use laboratory
information systems to register patients, input data, and access results

  • Maintain you own
professional development

  • Providing
a
high-quality service to clients

  • Problem solving
within the team

  • Result
interpretation

It will be a condition of employment for
