Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production and Scheduling Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production processes and scheduling to ensure the efficient manufacture and installation of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving operational excellence and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. Working with quality products such as our own Loadmaster brand and suppliers including Utemaster, Rhino-Rack and Thule.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including manufacturing, external suppliers, and installation teams, to optimise workflow and resource allocation.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency targets.
  • Analyse production data and performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage inventory levels to support production requirements and minimise shortages.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
  • Lead and motivate production staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate with our managing director, accounts sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A key member of our product research and development
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process optimisation and efficiency improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and use of production planning software would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, safety regulations, and LEAN manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in the automotive or metal fabrication industry is desirable.
  • Qualification in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or a related field would be an advantage.
