Assistant Landscaper Job Description:

  • Assist in Cultivate and care for plants in predominately an outdoor setting through performance of any combination of following duties as directed by supervisory personnel: Conditions and prepares soils and plants seeds, seedlings, or bulbs in an outdoor growing area, using spades, trowels, sprayers, sprinklers, cultivators, and other gardening hand tools and equipment.
  • Fertilizes, waters, weeds, transplants, or thins plants in growing areas.
  • Maintenance of existing Commercial and Domestic Gardens
  • Site clearance, usually in preparation of new gardens
  • Preparing sites using hand tools and machinery
  • Transplant plants from pots to gardens according to work plan. Planting and staking
are to be carried out in accordance with good horticultural practice

  • General landscape/garden duties including pruning trees and shrubs, weeding,
trimming and mowing lawns. This work will be carried out with the correct use of

maintenance and carpentry tools in a horticulturally correct manner.

  • Artificial and instant turf installation and management
  • Irrigation installation and maintenance
  • Maintenance of tools and machinery (not including electrical repairs)
  • Continuing to upskill yourself with a view that there is always something new to learn

Salary:
$ $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
