About MEGA:

MEGA The Privacy Company provides global services from its Head Office in New Zealand.

Built with

We launched in 2013 and have grown to an international team of more than 200 people who are motivated by next-generation technology and design, supporting over 270 million registered users on our desktop and mobile apps across all major platforms.

Our workforce and userbase are growing day by day, and we are preparing for the release of several landmark products and feature updates in the short-term future.

We are looking to hire an ambitious People and Culture Manager to support this success by helping to cultivate a work environment in which our people can thrive.

About the role:

As our People and Culture Manager, you will design and deliver best-practice people and organisational development policies in support of MEGA's strategic objectives, providing advice, insight, and services to internal leadership as required.

Working across the scope of the HR function within the business, you'll administer a programme of continuous organisational performance improvement, aiming to increase the productivity, engagement, and interconnectedness of functional teams and of the business as a whole.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:

  • Contribute expert insight and analysis to the development of MEGA's HR strategy, ensuring that policies and procedures are appropriately integrated and aligned with business objectives
  • Design initiatives that foster a highperformance culture wherein valuing learning, diversity, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration is the norm
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement by undertaking process and system reviews in order to understand barriers to success and arrive at actionable solutions
  • Develop MEGA's approach to talent management and succession planning, coordinating the contributions of key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
  • Work with management and team leaders to produce suitable Personal Development Plans for individual staff and to commission and evaluate internallydelivered interventions thereof
  • Institute coaching, mentoring, and secondment schemes that support staff's professional growth in accordance with their individual Personal Development Plans
  • Support the regular salary review process by collecting consistent appraisal documentation
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications team to grow effective communication and consultation processes to increase staff engagement and break down silos

Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model at MEGA, and this role may require early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.

About you:

Also, you have:

  • At least a Bachelorlevel qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related discipline
  • A track record of delivering successful Organisational Development and/or P&C strategy projects
  • Dedication to continuous organisational improvement and the ability to act as an effective change agent, building and sustaining relationships in order to produce strong results
  • The ability to understand, interpret, and clearly communicate regulatory requirements as they relate to employment and HR matters
  • A robust awareness of, and sensitivity to, changing methodology and theory with regard to talent management and developing positive organisational culture
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, such as BambooHR
  • A demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to, MEGA's values, taking ownership of your work and pursuing lifelong learning

What MEGA offers:

Along with a flexible working policy, a deliberate culture of internal development, and top-of-the-line tools, you will enjoy a competitive remuneration package.

This is a stable role within a secure but dynamic industry, providing the opportunity to work with passionate people at the forefront of their field.

With attentive leadership and an emphasis on innovation, you'll grow alongside MEGA as we continue to cement our industry-leading position.
