Job Summary:


Join our team as a Community Liaison and play a vital role in promoting the value of participation in the New Zealand electoral system.

You will work within designated communities, fostering relationships and encouraging eligible electors to enrol and participate in various electoral events.

Our mission is to ensure that all New Zealanders trust, value, and actively participate in Parliamentary Elections. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to activate civic engagement across their respective region. You will play a vital role in building and supporting relationships and partnerships that empower communities to participate in the General Election 2023

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the public, provide information about New Zealand's electoral system, and assist with voter enrolment.
  • Identify community gatherings and events to encourage enrolment and participation.
  • Collaborate with Registrars of Electors, Commission Staff, and stakeholders to achieve national objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures for electoral information.
  • Uphold political neutrality and comply with the Commission's policies and procedures.

  • Have excellent communication skills and can build effective relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Can work independently while following set directions.
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess experience in community engagement, sales, or promotional activities (desirable).
  • Have access to reliable transportation
