Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

We are delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Institutional Research Analyst to join our esteemed Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic team.

As a valued member, you will play an integral role in driving the implementation and progress of UC's strategic vision.

You will be You will be contributing towards this by providing analysis, reporting and administrative support on the UC student voice, through the suite of ESI student lifecycle survey research, course and teaching evaluations, and qualitative research.

Your contributions will be invaluable in helping us to achieve our goals and objectives.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Master's Degree (NZQA Level 9)
  • Demonstrated academic ability and knowledge
  • High competency of SPSS, R or other comparable statistical analysis tools, as well as underlying statistical principles
  • High competency and experience with Qualtrics software
  • Ability to complete work independently, within tight timeframes with strong attention to detail
  • A high level of computer literacy using Microsoft Office suite in particular, Excel and Power Query
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI
  • Skilled work experience conducting research and analysis in a large institution
  • Previous experience working in a tertiary education setting
  • Demonstrated academic ability and knowledge
in the field of Psychology or other related social sciences

Ako Marake | Evaluation & Student Insights (ESI) is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio, bringing together Institutional Research, and Student Evaluation of Teaching.

The team you will be joining works across the UC community to enable and support data gathering and quality academic outcomes for staff and students.

The ESI team informs the wider community using student experience research and data, allowing easy access to information through our Dashboards.
