We are looking for a dynamic and passionate New College Graduate (NCG) to join our Wellington team as a Test Automation Engineer. If you are a recent graduate with a keen interest in software quality and automation, we want to hear from you

Job Summary:

As an NCG Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with our software development and System testing teams to identify areas for automation, create test plans, and execute automated tests to drive product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
  • Collaborate with the QA and development teams to understand product features and technical specifications.
  • Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
  • Execute automated tests and analyse results to report any defects or issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation framework and processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of test code.
  • Assist in the integration of automation scripts with the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
