Kairuruku - Coordinator

Manatū Wāhine - Ministry for Women is the Government's principal advisor on improving the lives of wāhine women and kōtiro girls in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role

The purpose of the Kairuruku - Coordinator role is to provide coordination and administration support for The Mana Wāhine Kaupapa Inquiry which is currently before the Waitangi Tribunal.

The purpose of the Inquiry is to formally investigate claims alleging prejudice toward wāhine Māori; and working toward improving outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your talents to provide high quality support to Manatū Wāhine, Crown agencies and claimant communities.

As a skilled coordinator you will be required to organise multiple priorities and develop systems to ensure the roopū operate effectively and efficiently.


Ko koe tēnei - About you:

  • Te ao Māori environments be comfortable working in wānanga environments and offer an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Administration ability to develop tools to effectively manage document workflow, data entry and diary management
  • Project coordination can proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and engage with internal and external kaimahi
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and some te reo proficiency
  • Time management skills, you will have the ability to evolve with changing priorities
