The Opportunity:


Based in Christchurch (Hornby) and we're looking for a new skilled Inventory & Compliance Manager to provide companywide inventory control and governance across Westland's supply chain.

Reporting to the GM Supply Chain, this role will ensure that Westland's supply chain operation is operated in the most efficient and robust manner and will also oversee the integrity of Westland's companywide supply chain compliance.

**More specifically this role will:
- *
  • Oversee companywide inventory strategy, policy, framework, stock takes, stock turnover monitoring, dated stock management.
  • Maintain inventory accuracies and all other duties associated with inventory controls.
  • Effectively maintain all supply chain policies, frameworks and SOPs.
  • Carry out regular supply chain H&S, compliance inspections and audits.
  • Facilitate companywide inventory steering committees and ensure decisions are executed with each functional team.
  • Consolidate stock take results and reports for senior management. Facilitate post stock take learning and actions with each functional team.
  • Proactively work on inventory accuracy improvements and provide visibility of inventory related KPIs to senior management team.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams on inventory management strategies including slow moving stock management, obsolete stock management, dated stock management, out of spec stock management, inventory stock turn management, damaged stock management etc.

Our Successful Applicant Will Ideally Possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in commercial or supply chain management.
  • Experience in supply chain compliance management.
  • Familiarity with complex manufacturing environments and bill of material consumption
  • Knowledge/experience gained within a in warehouse operation is highly preferred.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional problemsolving and analytical skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines and ensure that work is completed to a high standard
  • The ability to work cooperatively and proactively as part of a small team
  • Previous experience in Stock Control or Business Analysis would be beneficial
  • Any familiarity with food quality and compliance would also be advantageous
