About the role


As part of our succession planning, we are looking for a Calibration Technician to perform the calibration and maintenance of electrical testing equipment through the process of verifying the performance of, or adjusting, any instrument that measures or tests electrical parameters, usually referred to as dc and low frequency electrical metrology.


Skills /Experience

  • Perform testing, adjustment, repair and calibration of electrical testing equipment including but not limited to digital multimeters, insulation testers, loop tester, clamp meters, multifunction testers using calibration procedures and maintenance manuals
  • Maintain calibration and service records for work performed on electrical testing equipment, via Fluke Calibration software (MET/Cal and MET/Team) or equivalent
  • Maintain a safe, efficient and quality work environment when undertaking calibration testing activities
  • Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business
  • NZCE electrical or a tertiary qualification in electronic/scientific/metrology discipline or equivalent
  • Three to six years electrical testing instrument calibration experience, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Metrology, as applied to electrical testing instruments, parts, calibration schedules and manuals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and traceability of standards and test equipment.

Rate/Hours of Work

  • Base salary from: $85,000 to $95,000
  • Minimum 40 hours per week

Pre-Employment Tests | Medical & Ministry of Justice


Connetics require all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check, a Pre-Employment medical test which includes a Drug and Alcohol test.

Must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
