We have a newly created role and exciting opportunity within the Strategy Finance and Policy Group.

We are looking for a Senior Analyst - National Portfolio Planning (NPP) to join our trusted, customer centric and diverse national team.

Are you a technical specialist and business savvy expert able to create business-valuable insights and develop information artefacts and forecasts? Our team aims to enable and mature the planning of capital investment programmes across Kāinga Ora's Public and Supported Portfolios (circa $5b) to ensure strategic commitments are operationalized for delivery.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
To be successful in this role, the Senior Analyst National Portfolio Planning will have:

  • Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or Data Analysis related tertiary qualification (or any other quantitative discipline) or evidenced equivalent practical experience in Data Analysis or Performance Insights and Planning related role.
  • 57 years of experience in data analysis, information development or operational planning with preference for experience in P3 methodologies, business planning for budgeting, property development and/or strategic planning.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, VBA skills across the Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of Excel/Word/Visio/PowerPoint interoperability. Knowledge of M365 apps.
  • Demonstrable experience with Power BI
  • Power Query, M Code, Power Maps, DAX
  • Mathematical problemsolving skills, attention to detail, accuracy and ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting business, financial and/or technical information. Can break information into component parts and identify patterns and relationships.
  • Knowledge of BI Data warehousing principles, datamart design and ability to query relational databases
  • Experience in representing data in clear written and visual formats for a range of business audiences including senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, contribute and communicate effectively within a team environment.
  • Welldeveloped planning and organisational skills with an ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
  • An appetite for individual continuous learning and sharing of knowledge to improve team capability, and a 'growth mindset' attitude
