About the role
- This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch_
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and test software in accordance with the SDLC, Quality Assurance policy, Governance frameworks, Architectural Roadmap, coding and testing standards and using appropriate design patterns and best practices.
- Full Stack Development
- Providing recommendations in various areas such as business analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Ensure peer reviews are conducted for all specification and code changes.
- DevOps, CI/CD practices and Software Development Tools.
- Accountable for development and maintenance of solutions from conception to retirement, including acceptance into production and ongoing production support
- Understanding and contributing to new feature requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years Software development experience.
You will also have proven experience in:
- AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM.
- Programming languages
- Java (or equivalent Object Orientated Language)
- Databases
- Oracle, SQL Server Integration Services, Non-SQL databases
- Frameworks
- Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JPA, EJB
- Exposure to various integration technologies e.g. AWS, Mulesoft ESB, WebLogic, Tomcat, Active MQ, HAProxy, API Gateways
- Experience in integration and migration practices
- Test-Driven Development(TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
- Waterfall IT delivery and Agile delivery practices
- Consulting skills with the ability to quickly understand stakeholder or customer contexts
Your organisational and attention to detail will be exceptional and your communication, relationship building and influencing skills will be excellent with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with all stakeholders.
