ABOUT THE COMPANY


Our client is a State Owned Enterprise who are responsible for providing up-to-date information through digital products to enable New Zealanders to make informed decisions in their daily activities.

This includes general updates, critical warnings and advisories, as well as bespoke reports vital to the safe ongoing operations of New Zealand industries and organisations.


ABOUT THE ROLE

DUTIES

  • Detect and rectify software glitches, technical challenges, and performance constraints by employing debugging and problemsolving methods.
  • Harness version control systems like Git to oversee code repositories and foster productive collaboration among team members.
  • Generate and sustain technical documentation, encompassing system architecture, API documentation, and user manuals.
  • Champion the rationalization, reusability and modernization of software, API, and data development activities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Skilled in one or multiple programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, coupled with familiarity with contemporary frameworks and JavaScript testing tools like Jasmine, Mocha, React, Angular, or
  • Handson involvement with build and CI/CD tools like Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, along with familiarity with Azure DevOps or Github Actions.
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, showcasing a solid grasp of software development principles and methodologies.
