A small expanding building management company requires an enthusiastic practical person to join the team.

We provide facilities management services to the bodies corporate of both commercial and apartment buildings (essentially managing the common areas of the buildings).

Initially this role will be a support role to our team of intermediate and senior facilities managers. This will give the successful applicant a good platform to understand the industry and learn from the team. In time we envisage the applicant heading their own portfolio of buildings.

The successful applicant will be able to think logically and be able to carry out a range of tasks independently. While it is helpful to have some experience in building or property management it is also important that you can demonstrate honesty, reliability, and be motivated to work. Some experience is preferable but not essential for this role as in-house training will be provided if you are the right person for the job.

To be successful in this field the following skill sets must be part of your make-up:

  • Be able to think logically and solve problems
  • High level of communication skills – both written (reports) and oral (presentations).
  • Great organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Enjoy working with a fun team in a fun workplace.

Solving day-to-day problems and gaining the trust and cooperation of the occupants, along with overseeing the ongoing maintenance and cleanliness of the common areas of the buildings to ensure they are being carried out to a high standard is key.

The role will involve a mix of working independently and as part of an experienced, supportive team, in a flexible and busy environment.

You must be able to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, with some after-hours required.
