Role Overview

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to keep QT Queenstown running smoothly and looking its best. From routine repairs to preventative maintenance, you'll ensure our guests enjoy a safe, stylish, and seamless experience. This is a practical, problem-solving role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance across the hotel.
  • Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests for assistance.
  • Complete tasks from the maintenance checklist and preventative maintenance program.
  • Log all defects, repairs, and actions taken accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and team to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and comply with WH&S standards.

What We're Looking For

You're a proactive problem-solver with a knack for fixing things and keeping standards high. You'll have:

  • Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Valid New Zealand working rights.
