The Good Home is seeking a skilled Bar & Wait Team member to join our team. This position is an integral part of our operation, providing exceptional service to our customers.

This is a part-time position working a minimum of 25 rostered hours per week. Flexibility is key, being available to work late nights and weekend shifts.

As a Bar & Wait Team Member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to customer needs promptly and accurately
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the bar and restaurant areas, including clearing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a hygienic environment
  • Preparing and serving a variety of drinks, including alcoholic beverages, in accordance with company standards and legal regulations
  • Handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale system efficiently
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to customers

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant environment is preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Knowledge of basic drink recipes and cocktail preparation
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
  • Flexible to work late night and weekend shift

The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, a friendly and approachable demeanour, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
