The opportunity
We are looking for a Bid Writer to help us tell our story and win exciting new work. We are flexible on level. If you bring strong writing skills, an eye for detail and the ability to turn technical information into a clear and engaging narrative, we would love to hear from you.
You will:
work closely with a friendly, experienced Dunedin team
craft engaging bids and submissions for projects from 1 million to 100 million
use your writing skills to show clients why Naylor Love is the right choice
explore new formats and tools, including AI, to modernise and sharpen our submissions
collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to gather accurate information
Key responsibilities include the following:
Manage the full bid process from planning through to submission
Tailor submissions to each client's requirements in a deadline driven environment
Write, edit and structure content with accuracy and clarity
Coordinate timelines and ensure submissions are delivered ahead of deadlines
Maintain CVs, project profiles, policies and other collateral
Proofread and check the quality of all outgoing content
Continuously look for ways to improve how we present and communicate our capability
Contribute to best practice within the team and wider business
We are looking for the following:
Strong written communication skills with the ability to make information clear and engaging
A natural storyteller who can simplify construction content
Someone curious, adaptable and meticulous
A quick learner who enjoys problem solving
Previous experience in construction, design, communications or a related field
We are open to a range of backgrounds. The right attitude, writing skill and willingness to learn construction go a long way.
