Our Story

Alpha Fire is taking the construction industry by storm this year. Due to our exponential growth, we are searching for a Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our small but mighty team. We are proudly 100% Kiwi owned and operated, and specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.

The Position

As a Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be capable of independently managing projects for our clients and ensuring prompt and high-quality delivery of projects. Responsible for efficiently, accurately, and safely completing all allocated fire service works. You will need to possess good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and schedule tasks. The projects you will be working on include, but are not limited to, residential buildings (Apartments, Hotels, Retirement homes) and Commercial buildings (Warehouses and Offices).

About you

We are looking for a go-getter with a strong team approach, the ability to work autonomously, and keen to learn and grow. To be successful in this role, you will bring a fire sprinkler technician background, who has the ability and motivation to meet targets and provide excellent customer service. You'll have a vast array of knowledge and understanding of technical drawings. You'll be physically fit, results-oriented, and have high health and safety standards, workmanship and ethics.

Other essential requirements include the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or certification
  • Minimum three years of experience working as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter
  • Holistic knowledge of fire safety standards, fire safety systems
  • Excellent adaptable communication skills
  • Current full driver's license

Responsibilities

This position will have you working closely with the Project Manager, and you will play a significant role in Alpha Fire's growth. You will hit the ground running, working on various projects, and each day will always be different. A few daily responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Day-to-day workflow planning of Fire systems installations
  • Providing installation, maintenance, repairs, and testing across various residential, commercial and industrial sites. You will work on sprinklers, hydrants, pump sets and water storage tanks.
  • Ensures timeliness and quality of work are consistently completed to the highest possible standard
