About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of nursing and supporting graduates as they transition into practice? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Educator to join our Workforce and Practice Development Unit in a leadership role that makes a real difference.

This position is ideal for a dynamic, innovative educator who brings fresh ideas and a commitment to excellence in nursing education. You will play a pivotal role in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of education that enhance the competence and capability of graduate registered nurses during their first year of practice. About you

The position would suit a highly motivated, organised and action-oriented person who is passionate about education and the development of graduates in their first year of practice. The preferred candidate will have the ability to facilitate orientation, develop a contemporary curriculum and support learning for graduates.

  • Lead, plan and implementation of education for SFYP nurses.

About the Team/Service Location

The Workforce and Practice Development Unit (W&PDU) support the District Chief Nursing Officer, and Nurse Directors across the District. Organisational goals and priorities direct the W&PDU's work streams and are aligned with HNZ ǀ Te Whatu Ora strategic direction within the CC&HV district, the Central Region, and nationally. This is a highly motivated team that works closely to support each other.
