About Us
Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa is a kaupapa Māori organisation based on a whānau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach. Our organisation works to a model of care centred around our pou (guiding principles) of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, arohatanga, rangatiratanga, tika and pono. We deliver health and social services across the lifespan and have a team of over 100 people working across Hamilton city and beyond.
About the Role
Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa is seeking applications for a permanent Property Coordinator position within our Korowai Manaaki housing service.
These roles play a vital part in supporting whanaunga to feel safe, connected, and empowered in their homes through kaupapa-driven tenancy support and property care.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with whanaunga, internal teams, and external stakeholders to foster collaboration
- Liaise with key partners, including MSD, MHUD and the Korowai Manaaki team, to ensure alignment with organisational goals
- Provide support for housing-related programmes, kaupapa, and events, contributing to their planning and execution
- Collaborate with kaimahi to deliver initiatives that benefit whanaunga and align with organisational objectives
- Oversee the maintenance of whare, coordinating repairs and health and safety checks
- Manage tenancy processes including new setups, inspections, and end-of-tenancy procedures
- Ensure all properties meet housing standards, and maintain accurate documentation in line with policy
- Uphold compliance with legal and organisational policy, including exclusion orders and urgent housing issues
- Integrate Te Ao Māori principles into mahi and uphold our shared commitment to a whānau-first, tikanga-based, wellbeing approach

Experience
- 2+ years' experience in housing support, tenancy coordination, or property management
Skills
- Relationship-building and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of tenancy processes, property maintenance, and health & safety practices
- Confident communicator with strong cultural competency
- Proficient in documentation, reporting, and use of digital systems
Qualifications and Education
- A qualification in housing, property, social services, or a related field is advantageous. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
