The opportunity – Senior Performance & Risk Analyst
The Senior Performance & Risk Analyst plays a key role in delivering high-quality performance and risk analytics to support governance-level decision making and product strategy. This role ensures that reporting outputs are accurate, insightful, and aligned with regulatory and governance requirements, enabling Milford to meet its compliance responsibilities.
In addition to requiring a strong quantitative skillset, the role contributes to regulatory disclosures, supports governance forums, and drives continuous improvement in reporting.
This position is a 12 month fixed term opportunity to cover for maternity leave.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Contribute to timely and effective delivery of key projects.
- Developing, improving and automating high-quality reporting and insights using tools such as Bloomberg PORT WS, Excel, Python, Power Automate and PowerBI.
- Reviewing and validating investment-related data, reports and disclosure documents, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and Milford's compliance responsibilities.
- Provide strategic input and cross-functional collaboration, supporting the Product team's broader initiatives and acting as a subject matter expert on performance and risk analytics.
- Contributing to papers, analytics and content to support governance level investment strategy decisions and presenting to governance forums as required.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.
Your profile
We're targeting an exceptional individual with a strong mix of technical capability, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Key Experience Includes
- Well-developed quantitative and technical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex data.
- A solid understanding of investment return and risk concepts, and the associated analytical frameworks.
- Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proven communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Postgraduate study or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) would be advantageous and reflect the level of technical and analytical expertise required.
