We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Banker to develop their career as a Working Capital Specialist based in Christchurch.
This is a senior customer focused role within BNZ Specialised Solutions and will work with key introducers, suppliers and third-party relationships to raise the market awareness and profile of BNZ's Working Capital proposition, and more specifically the invoice financing solution Cashflow Plus.
We sat down with the Head of Asset Finance & Working Capital, who let us know the following about the role:
What does a day in the life of a Working Capital Specialist look like?
Identify target clients and assess their prospective Working Capital requirements along with the potential value to both bank & Customer.
Develop and implement a tactical plan for each target client, based on knowledge of the client's industry, growth projections, strategies and objectives and then offer them a tailored product or suite of solutions.
Acquire new to bank relationships leveraging Industry Associations, Professionals and your own Network of Contacts.
Build strong, high quality market advocates with industry leaders, key businesses, suppliers and third-party referrers to source business referrals.
Pro-actively seek out high quality new business opportunities through a variety of channels including organising and facilitating functions and events.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
We are looking for someone who has extensive lending experience or a commercial banking background, with a sound understanding of the banking/financial services industry, and various Cashflow management solutions.
Ideally you will be resilient with a can-do attitude and strong relationship management skills. You will also be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently present recommendations or proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone that can seek out opportunities and through their local relationships, convert them to become BNZ Customers.
