Our client, a specialist employment law firm, is seeking a high-performing senior employment lawyer. This role offers the opportunity to advise senior managers within corporate clients, junior with partners in substantial litigation, manage due diligences and other data heavy matters, and supervise more junior staff. The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit team that values fun, openness, and commercial focus.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Solicitor/Associate in Employment Law, your role will be multifaceted. You'll provide expert legal advice predominantly to employers in the private sector on a range of employment advisory matters. Your responsibilities will extend beyond advisory services to include employment litigation and dispute resolution, governance, legislative planning, compliance and privacy. You'll also have the opportunity to work directly with partners in substantial litigation cases and manage due diligences.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Bring

    • 5 PQE (NZ qualified)
  • Proven track record in employment law, either in NZ or offshore;
  • Current NZLS Practicing Certificate;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to handle complex work and ask questions when necessary;
  • Positive attitude and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
