Andritz Hydro is a world leader in the supply of electrical and mechanical renewable energy equipment to the hydro power industry. The company headquarters are based in Austria, with the NZ office providing services to power generation customers in NZ and the South Pacific region.

We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join some exciting projects we are working on in the Taupo region. Where you are based is flexible but travel to project sites will be required. You must initially be available for work in the Waipapa and Maraetai 2 Power Stations.

As an experienced Electrical Supervisor, what we are looking for most is your reliability, teamwork, and passion for what you do. It is important you have the below:

  • Be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications; and apply relevant industry standards to finished products
  • Have experience in the industrial sector with a preference being from the generation and transmission environment
  • Have experience with testing including insulation resistance, contact resistance, point to point checks and instrumentation loop checks.
  • Have experience in the installation of control cabinetry and cable support systems
  • Have panel wiring experience with both new installs and modification of existing panels
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
  • First Aid, Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates are an advantage, but we will supply you with the necessary training if you do not hold these

You will be leading the electrical team across the sites, and will also be in charge of Procurement, Testing, Quality Control and leading safety meetings.
